Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were established in the year 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. As time went on, they have evolved into a huge designer brand with flagship stores in multiple countries, and it’s one that many fashion lovers are drawn to.
I’ve known about Golden Goose for years and I would often look through what FarFetch had, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always thought they were quite expensive and looked too similar to Converse, so they were always on my mental wishlist. Some time back, Adam was the one who originally loved the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what pushed me to explore them deeper. Having seen his in person and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re artisanal, I was totally into it. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are intentionally aged and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so they’re truly one-of-a-kind. Some have stronger distressing than others, so each pair is unpredictable.
If you’re buying at a store, it might be a good idea to look at multiple pairs and select from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to roll the dice!The pair of sneakers that I was first obsessed with are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been available for years, but I never ended up purchasing them.
I actually ended up getting the metallic version off Shopbop, and they’re a pair I have worn on and off over the years (see here and my Golden Goose review here). I absolutely love them! I bought another pair in the same model and customized them with dark laces + a burgundy detail, so they’re really fun! I also own a pair of velvet burgundy Golden Goose, and two pairs of taller silhouettes! I do definitely want a new black version, but I have a pair of Converse in black canvas, so I’m not sure I read the info about Golden Goose should double up, even though they’re different.

Do they feel better than other shoes?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have.
I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality.
They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer.
Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind.
And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal.
They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is a better idea.
Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot.
I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
